Perfecting the Art of Recovery – One Exercise at a Time
The pelvic floor is a set of muscles and other tissues that hold up your bladder bowel, and rectum. In women, it also supports the uterus, cervix and vagina. In men, it also supports the prostate gland. When you experience an injury to these muscles, it can lead to pain as well urinary incontinence, and organ prolapse in women.
What Is Involved with Pelvic Rehabilitation?
Pelvic rehabilitation is a nonsurgical approach that includes strengthening, functional retraining, and behavioral strategies for bladder retraining. At Stone Rehab, our specialists work with you or your loved one to treat symptoms of stress, urge or mixed urinary incontinence, and any low-grade pelvic organ prolapse that has occurred. The care you receive is based on your specific symptoms and needs.
