Outpatient Neurological Disorders Care & Recovery in Virginia Beach, VA

Perfecting the Art of Recovery, One Word at a Time

Continued Care for Neurological Injuries

When you or your loved one suffers from a neurological injury such as a stroke, outpatient care is usually scheduled after recovery is completed at a rehabilitation hospital or acute skilled care center. It is important to continue care in an outpatient setting to work on activities of daily living and communication, and address any mobility concerns.

What Will Be Addressed During Sessions?

With a neurological injury or disorder, you or your loved one’s outpatient care at Stone Rehab will focus on sessions with a speech therapist. If needed, they will address problems with eating and swallowing. Sessions may also include working on activities of daily living, from brushing teeth, tying shoes, cooking, grooming and others. The therapists will address communication skills if your injury or disorder is making speaking or cognition difficult.

Why Stone Rehab?

Stone Rehab strives to treat each patient so they can enjoy a better quality of life. That means we address the physical, emotional, spiritual and social lives of each patient.
